World record set by nine year old’s wisdom tooth extraction

Recently, a nine year old in Virginia has become the youngest person according to Guinness World Records to have a wisdom tooth extracted. The nine year old boy was 9 years and 327 days old when he had the wisdom tooth extracted. The boy learned that he needed the extraction when his orthondontist in Virginia noticed on a 3D x-ray that he had a wisdom tooth and a molar growing on top of each other. Wisdom Teeth Conspiracy: Electronic Eavesdropping Device

This story may sound a bit bizarre but actually is true. Multidisciplinary Conference on Third Molars (Wisdom Teeth)

This event is being organized by the American Association of  Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS). Those who will be in attendance include dental, medical, governmental, and third party organizations. I wonder if I will be receiving an invitation however I doubt it due to the nature of the meeting and its intent to promote the removal of healthy impacted wisdom teeth due to so called “accurate and true evidence based research.” Since I now reside near the D.C area I may try to attend the conference to see what is being discussed and to make sure that accurate results are being presented … Read more
