Living with NDPH

On my website I discuss New Daily Persistent Headache (NDPH) . I have also previously posted some NDPH chronic headache articles.

Recently I found a website called Living with NDPH. The site is written by Amy, a mother of 3, who has suffered with a chronic persistent headache for 4 years, and has been blogging about it since last August. If you suffer from NDPH her website is a good resource. Another great resource is MDJunction as I have posted about before.

I recently read an interesting story of Amy’s Living with NDPH website about a Young Boy Cured of NDPH after suffering from 5 months.

Essentially in the story which I encourage you to read on Amy’s website the young 11 year old boy had a headache start near the start of 2010. He had several tests done and went to several neurologists all while trying several medications. Roughly 5 months after the headache started and conventional treatments were not helping, he saw a Craniosacral Therapist. She claimed to reduce the twisting and tension at the base of the young boy’s head. This caused the young boy to begin to return to his old normal headache free self.

Now this is quite a story and may provide hope and inspiration to those suffering. I feel like Amy is not one just out to promote Craniosacral Therapists and neither is ‘Dara’ who shared the story, but one should still be careful and always thoroughly check facts. I myself have had craniosacral therapy done and have described craniosacral therapy on my website. I did notice an improvement after receiving a few sessions of craniosacral therapy although it was minimal and I have since stopped receiving the therapy. It may be something to try for those suffering from a chronic persistent headache but it should not be believed to be a cure and may also cost a lot of money.
