Just a few weeks ago on this blog, an article was shared titled Brad Pitt, Cara Delevingne, and Russell Wilson Latest Celebrities to have Wisdom Teeth Removed in 2021 that discussed some big name celebrities to have wisdom teeth extracted in 2021. A few days after that article was published, TikTok star Charli D’Amelio had her wisdom teeth extracted.
Of course knowing, Charli she had to document the whole procedure of her wisdom teeth surgery and the aftermath for her followers. She posted a nearly 13 minute video on YouTube that already after a few weeks has over 3 million views. In the video, Charli is seen driving to the procedure. When she arrives she shows a panoramic x-ray of her mouth which includes her four wisdom teeth. She points to them and says how a few of them hurt and one of them causes some problems.
The video then cuts to show two hours later after the surgery and Charli is seen with gauze in her mouth sitting down and trying to talk. She also has an ice pack wrapped around her head to cover her mouth and jaw. Charli’s mom tells Charli that she looks great. Charli tells her mom thank you and also says that they did such a great job. Charli is later given a plastic bag containing her wisdom teeth that were removed. She is then sent home and the video cuts to her in the car on her way home.
The day after her surgery Charli is seen doing a rinse to prevent a dry socket. Her checks are also clearly swollen. She continues to wear the ice pack around her mouth and jaw to try to reduce the swelling. Three days after the surgery she goes back to the surgeon for a check-up. She attempts to cover her face, not because she does not want to be recognized, but because she literally has greenish/yellowish coloring on her face/checks and does not want anyone to see. Charli attempts to use a lot of makeup to cover up the discoloring on her face so that it looks normal. This is described as simply bruising. Five days after surgery, Charli says she was playing with her stitches in her mouth and a stitch fell out. She shows the stich and jokes about wanting to try to sell it for $600.

For those interested in even more footage from the D’Amelio family, Charli actually has an older sister Dixie D’Amelio who had her wisdom teeth extracted in May 2020. Dixie’s Wisdom Teeth Adventure was also shared on YouTube and features an appearance form Charli, although at just under five minutes long is much shorter than Charli’s version. Dixie’s wisdom teeth surgery is much more emotional that Charli’s. Dixie cries uncontrollably after the surgery. She is also given her wisdom teeth to take home but doesn’t notice them until she is on the car ride home. She is shocked when she opens them and finds six teeth, presumably two of them had been cut up. Dixie also cries out for a burger in her video even though doctors restrict a patients diet after having wisdom teeth surgery.
